#6The light is on because there is a problem with 1 or more abs sensors.
The brakes is still working, just the abs is not which is why the brake light is not on.
Start by cleaning the sensors and the abs ring, if it's still on get a tester on to see which one is causing the problem -

#10So what you're saying is, if the brake light is on next to the abs light, then your brakes don't work either?Quote:The light is on because there is a problem with 1 or more abs sensors.

Check the brake fluid, chances are it's running low or close to empty.
You need to check for leaks and clean the sensors.
Don't keep driving it or you will lose breaking power at some point. -
#14Ill check later.. Will need to continue driving it.
-
#15It's abs. Break fluid is fine. Is sensor , means will spin of break hard at high speeds .. CBa to even fix it.
-
#16it will be a reluctor rings damage if it comes on and off. cheap enough
-
#17It's normal sometimes for the light to be on at startup, then go out after driving 50 yards or so.
If it's coming on and off, then it's likely an ABS ring problem or a sensor problem.
ABS light AND Handbrake warning light on together is a pump/pump controller issue. -
#20That is cuteQuote:Agree, not fixing your brakes is just plain stupid.
I'm glad i don't drive around the same roads as you
you will be very please you dont drive around the same roads as me - trust me
The light has since deactivated and not turned back on......
So the simple solution and fix was not to panic, like I didn't, and wait some time.
Rather than cough any unecessary cash out, which I didn't.
If it comes back on, I will look into fixing it one weekend.
Thanks all
