Looms=confusing

    Right, I'm getting a loom sorted but I am not sure as to which one I need.
    I know that the car it's going into is a 3 plug loom so the interior loom will be the 3 plug one, ie digital dials, but the engine I have is a single plug engine and I'm also getting a single plug Pred ECU.

    I know there are a few types of single plug loom so how do I know which one I need?

    Can I simply splice the looms together and all the dials etc will work still?

    Or can I just use single plug interior and engine loom, but do something to have digital dials?
    I'm mainly just wanting the digital dials, as far as im aware, nothing else is different with the single plug interior loom?

    You're into the magical land of loom splicing basically.

    Easiest way to use a 3 plug interior loom is to use a 3 plug engine loom, however if yours is single and modified you'll want to keep it. You'll need a newer gearbox speed sensor if you don't already have one as the analogue clocks were cable driven iirc.

    Basically you need to speak to an electrical wizard. Electrics are magic.

    Well I have a gearbox that has the 3 plug loom sensor in it, ie the digital dials speed sensor, so is that all I need??

    My saxo has analogue clocks but hasn't got a cable driven speedo.
