Seat options !

I have recently bought a VTR and if I'm honest, I'm a little tall for it.
I'd like to fit a seat that sits quite a bit lower and is a bit buckety!
I don't want a full bucket but I do plan to do a track day or two so would like to be able to use it with harness' when I require, but with normal belts for day to day stuff.
I don't need anything new and colourful, in fact cheap and drab is probably better. Any advice on a seat and what mounting plate etc would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I think you may have some trouble mounting the seat if you want one that sits lower, I had buckets in mine and they sat higher than the standard seats with the proper subframes so you may need to fabricate a frame to make it fit and probably loose the ability to have sliders

    Ok no problem!
Not too bothered about having a slider so long as it's lower.
What the score with airbag lights and things should I remove the old seat?
    Any problems with doing that?

I have one in my car with a Recaro fitted and it drops you right down in the car.

I think I'm going to get that lowering frame.
Is there anything I need to know when removing the seats?
Will the airbag go off, lights come on the dash, etc
    Thanks

Do you need to make the holes yourself to fit your seat?

Sorry is that question to me?

Yep,you bought them so I was wondering if they require any modification before fitting.

The frames bolt straight into the original mounting points of the car, you then have to drill the holes for the seats to fit the frames. There are so many different seats all with different mounting dimensions that its pretty much impossible to make something that would cover all options.

Hope that helps to answer your question.

    That indeed answer my question,thanks.
