Power steering pump whining when ignition on !!!! Problem fixed !!!

   As title says guys my power steering pump is whining when the keys turned, ignition on but not running. Strange as power steering doesn't kick in until engine running.
   I've checked everything's plugged in and tight, also soon as I unplug the green relay in the fuse box it stops so I no its a power steering pump issue.
   
   Any ideas guys

   Mine used to run on the ignition. No idea why

   Seems strange as it was ok before it went to garage for the clutch cable fitting 1st time.
   Really need to dig deep with this to resolve it.

   Possibly an earth wire touching a live cable that it should not be near,causing power to start the pas pump.

   Good point mate will have another look and trace all cables.

   Problem sorted guys was down to the alternator wires as I re routed them today and soldered the joints together and whining gone. And also my battery light no longer flickering. 2 problems sorted ��

   happy days result.. at least its sorted now..
