Saxo VTR fob not working

Hi guys, its time for another problem.

What it is: my remote central locking fob for my saxo suddenly stopped working, after bit of investigation it just turned out to be change the battery lol.

But about 2 weeks ago I dropped my keys and the small plastic clips that holds the battery in place snapped, I thought ok not a big problem and ordered a new fob case and metal fixings.

The fob case taken forever to arrive about 3 weeks (problem with royal mal)
anyway swapped over circuit board and put battery back in and now it does not work???

I have already tried the "unlock with key then press lock button twice within 20 seconds" and still nothing.

I am just wondering what could have happened to it in the 3 weeks its been no used.

If it was an ebay case they're shit.

I had one and got sick of it and ended putting in a hawk kit.

best thing to do is sit in the car with just the circuit board and battery and see if it works when you put pressure on it anywhere. my Xantia fob is a bit dicky, ended up needing a bit of cardboard to hold the battery in a bit further and some parts resoldering!

Thanks guys I will have a mess around when I get home, also Mick it was from eBay but it's the exact same fob as before, like I said the only reason for getting a new case was because the clip that holds the battery on had snapped.

got the same problem with mine the circuit board and everything looks fine it will work for about 5 minutes with a new battery but then it just seems like either its killed the battery or its just not working for some weird reason, I even put new terminals in it.

Its just annoying, the central locking works fine with the key but I want my fob back working lol
