#2What year is it? (manufacture not registration)Quote:I was just wondering will my saxo desire have RCL because a few people I know have them and there's does and is there anyway to check of it does, cheers In advance
Up to late 1999 has an infrared sensor, it'll be a dark glass receiver on the roof next to the interior light. If you don't have that, you've not got it.
On later models, it has RF. Generally speaking, if it has central locking then it has the capabilities for RF remote locking (I think the central locking boxes all look the same from the outside), the only way to tell is to supply a VIN number to your dealer and they can tell you if it came with central locking.
Unless I've forgotten something here
The range is shit anyway. -
#3Ive sent the dealer the reg and they said it cane with it cheers mate 😊

#4Also quoted me £46 to program a fob I have from another saxo into it, no way I can do it my self ?
-
#5I'm sure their is a thread on pairing the fob to the system.if all else fails then just buy a Hawke kit.
-
#6Hawk £20 job done
-
#7No, pairing like you do in the handbook won't work with another key. Keys have to match receivers - so basically you're paying for diagnostics time so they can match them.Quote:Also quoted me £46 to program a fob I have from another saxo into it, no way I can do it my self ?
Get it done properly, dont even think about the shitty after market kits. I've had 3 diffferent types and hated them all. why carry an extra fob!?
Peugeot wanted a LOT more than £46 off me for doing my key, If it means that much to you it's best to get it done right. -
#8Hawk is looking like the best option like
-
#10Have go carry an extra fob either way, fob isn't part of the key and the hawk systems are highly recommended on this forum, good guide yo install them with too
-
#11im getting a hawk system in next couple of weeks i have the guide bookmarked ooks realy easy to fit
-
#13
that's what mine and a few mates looks like, fobs always been separate
-
#14What the fuck lol
Mine looks exactly like that (both of them!) but has a blade on the end. -
#15I've always knew them like that pal 😂
-
#16Mines only got key CL but am going to buy the hawk when they are back in stock and your right it does look easy to fit . Almost fool proof tbh
-
#17I've still have a matching fob and RCL brain, you can take the middle out and put the blade in to the fob, when i got my VTR i put a hawk kit on and its range its awesome and doesn't take long to fit, can be tight as you got to get to the wires behind the glove box

#18Got my self a hawk system best thing I've bought in a while!
