Vts rocker cover gasket? (pic inside)

    Just got a original rocker cover off ebay for my vts it looks like theres already a gasket on it do I leave this on and just screw it on or do I take it off and apply some sealent?

    That's the original gasket. It's not a part you can buy from citroen so you have two options. Leave it on and it'll probably be ok - however be aware that they go stiff and brittle with age so it's possible it will leak. Or, remove it and replace with new sealant (however it's then a bigger job as you need to get the surface completely flat). Either way, whatever you do dont overtighten. They don't need a lot of force to clamp them down, and when you overtighten they will leak.

    My personal advice would be to use what you've got, make sure the surface of the head is spotlessly clean, and see how you get on

    There is a tiny split in the gasket should I put a bit of sealer on that bit ?

    Also,the correct torque for the bolts is 15nm.
