Ive just changed my gear linkage rods (if thats what theyre called), 3 of them.. it tightened up the stick a bit.
Been wanting a short shift, while i was in the car i cut a slot in the ball on the gearstick and moved it up half its own length and re secured it. This has shortened the throw on the stick. Is this ok? I assume this is basically how a short shift kit works? I haven't gone mad with it, would over doing it add any stress or wear to the gearbox?
