Bought some grey plastic primer today, and gloss black spray and just wondering the best way to apply/cover up areas as I've never done this before. Also, is it suggested to sand down the areas I'm going to be spraying over or not? I'm just using this as a trial to see how it looks, as they're fucking awful now so I can't really make it look any worse haha.
Bumper Strip Spraying

#2Sand with 400 grit wet, prime them, flat again with 400, then colour, then if you want it even flatter/better, 2k grit sand paper, then buff with a mop

#3Mask around the bumper strips with masking tape, use newspaper to mask up rest of car. We use 3M car covers but doubt you can get those. Sand down bumper strips with P500, Prime then wet sand again with P500 then add colour.

#4I maybe asking something incredibly daft, but wet and dry sanding, does that mean sanding when it's wet, then when dry? Complete novice to this so sorry for being a massive tool

#5Dry sanding is without water, wet sanding is sanding with the sandpaper being wet. If you have a water spray bottle you can just use that for wet sanding.

#6How did you get on with the painting. Any pics?
