Wonder if anybody might know what it is but iv got a sqeaking scraping noise that comes and goes mainly when turning right and some times over bumps now iv had wheel off pads and discs are fine track rod, anti roll bar and bottom arm has no play cv boot has slight split but I never Hurd this noise on a cv joint any ideas if cv joint would cause this also don't think it's wheel bearing as they normally constant humming sound also steering fluid is not low any help would b grateful

If it's doing it when you're turning then it's most likely a driveshaft / cv joint in my eyes. If the boots split it may have went dry

before a wheel bearing actually gets to the point where it hums, they can move just enough that the disc is allowed to occasionally touch the pads as the wheel rotates causing this kind of noise - you often get it when turning very very slightly (ie, going in a straight line but moving the steering wheel fractionally to change course) and can hear it most at low speed. What I'm describing sounds like it should sound if you get me - like the sound of brakes just as they engage, but only on one wheel and there's no resistance you can feel just the noise.

Could be that - in short, a wheel bearing just on it's first leg of complaining.

Cheers mate gonna change the drive shaft anyways hopefully it's that like a say av never Hurd this kind of noise before it's like a creaking noise but scraping at the same time doesn't do it all the time if a turn left when it's doing it it's goes away

Like a say I'll change the drive shaft anyways if it's still there I'll just change both wheel bearings for good measure

If your changing driveshafts i reckomend getting on ebay and looking for j&r driveshafts. Good price and better quality than factory ones.
