1.5 diesel burned abs/pump relay

Im new here so sorry if theres something i missed:-) i hope u can help me.. I was driving along the highway yesterday(120kmh) and it suddenly cut out with a big "bang" from the enginebay and wouldnt start after.. I tried wiring the stop solenoid directly to the battery and it fired up as nothing had happend.. After further investigation i found that the wire going from pin number 1 on the multi relay for abs/fuelpump was completely burned out.. Only bare copper left from that wire..
Relay is named bitron 240107 and has got 15 pins, and pin no 1 has burned..
Have ordered a new relay, now its down to finding the fault and put the new wire in..
Anyone knows where that wire goes!? Bust anything that can point me in direction of where it goes to!:-) tyvm and great day!

all that red wire in the back ground looks to have been installed by someone. my suspicion is someone has did a bad wiring job.

tell me. do you actually have abs in your 1.5 diesel? i know the answer is no but please tell me if im wrong????

as for the PAS, it is meant to have its own loom really, one than can be disconnected and removed. the correct relay is meant to be a grey box!

I have put that red wire on, so i can make a new wire.. But dunno where it needs to go... Pls just answer my question :-) i know what im doing.. Otherwise i would just out of nowhere put it on the stop solenoid... But since i donnu what pin 1 goes to, on a 1.5 diesel, i wont just do it.. On a petrol it goes to ignition coil..... But thats a petrol.. Donnu if diesels funtion in another way

Yes i do have abs.. Its a 2003 engine.. Yes it does have its own loom in a multiplug behind the headlight.. The grey box is the abs ecu.. Not the relay...

Dunno if diesel relays function in another way :-)

im saying the PAS pump should have its own loom. you should disconnect the main plug that goes into the pump, two thick wires (black and red) follow them up in behind the headlight it should split off into a relay and some other big fuse holder. from the relay there should be a wire going into engine fusebox, an earth, and another wire going elsewhere (ignition system as you mentioned before)

yes on petrols the relay is powered on by a wire going into the back of a green relay under the glovebox. but surely if you know this about the petrol model can you not follow the wires back on this car also?

im trying to help you lol

Theres only 1 wire going to my fuel pump.. Exept for the plunger sensor and advance mechanism.. But they run i the same loom"pipes" but doesnt goes theough the relay...

Would love to split the loom, but it's a pain to get through the pipes in such a compact enginebay 😝 so i will probably just end up with a bunch of wiresalad 😂
my knowledge so far about this problem is what i have found without taking the half of the car apart and googling :-)
When i say i know what im doing, i mean the seperate things.. Its not hard to make a new wire so its more fail safe than original.. Its just that, where does it go...

The wire tgat burned seems to be white, but burned plastic can easily change color.. I have intented to fuse the new wire, so if anything happens again it will just blow a fuse instead of setting the car on fire..

I know u are, and sorry if i came to take it a bit personal, sorry...

What do u mean by pas pump? Theres only one pump on a diesel as far as i know.. But maybe im wrong? :-) i havent actually checked that..

Im used to golf 2 diesels, so all the electronic stuff is pain to get through.. And theres no space in the bay.. But i love my 106.. And wouldnt trade her for anything.. Just needs to get this wire solved and fused, maybe route it somewhere else in the bay where it doesnt come to close to other wires and direct metal.. The old wire snapped somewhere in the loom, so i cant find it without taking it all apart.. I have tried.. Its not that im lazy 😝
