Can any one shed some light on what is the difference between a s1 and s2 rallye head ?

#4not a lot -- there have been 3 different combustion chamber shapes in 8 v heads --only really causes problems when fitting forged lumpy pistons and when you are skiming it a lot to get the comp ratio up
you cannot get too much comp ratio for n/a on any saxo 8 or 18v engine they love comp up high --ifdet is a problem its your fuelling and igniton not comp ratio
no piston maker comp ratios are correct --always lowere than they say
wosner liek a lot of other makers quote comp ratio WITH NO GASKET - up to engine builder then to pick correct size etc once head has been skimmed etc
hence turbo pistons are always too low really -
