Alright guys im a little out my depth here ive ordered myself a megasquirt system for a 106 gti.
I need help with triggerwheels and crank sensors.
Do i need a new trigger wheel and crank or can i use the original crank and fly?
i was originally told i need a 36-1 trigger wheel but not sure if nessacary and if i do get a trigger wheel do i need a hall or vr crank sensor?
Heres some emails ive received im hoping will make things clearer.
The kit :
MS 1 V 3 Fully Built, Extra Code 2.5 bar MAP sensor,2.5 Bar MAP sensor, good for normally aspirated or Boosted Engines to 30psi max, and fitted with 2 coil drivers so will run a 4 cycl wasted spark, this is the recommended way as you have complete control of the timing and can also use the onboard rev limiting facility, + your Fuel Injection, comes with a resonable MAP to get you up and running, wiring diagram you can download from this site (Link), DB37 Plug, and DB9 cable to connect to your pc,

I still do not understand what you are asking ??, the Ignition System is nothing to do with Wiring Loom it is a Coil Pack or Cop's and whan I build a MS and fit Coil Drivers then I Specify which Pins on the DB37 Plug which will be used for signaling the Coils so usually Spark A will be on Pin 36 and Spark B will be on Pin 6, is that helpfull.

I need to know what Sensor you will be using on your Trigger Wheel, Hall or VR so I can build the Circuit and fit the Jumpers asap as I need to know to carry on with the Build, OK.
