Important! : how can i test my lambda sensor? oil light too and faulty window?

i bought the car not long ago as spares basically as u guys know from my previous threads

the car has EML on and he told me it was coil pack which he replaced and never got light re setted?

stevo mentioned it could be a lambda...

is there a way to test this?? and how do i try resetting the light i disconnected the battery for a hour no joy

oil light is on solid checked oil and its just below full !! somebody said change the filter from the zig zag pattern to straight to see if it breaths better?? im not sure if this is good advice lol!!

airbag light iv sorted was indeed plug under seats!!!

drive shaft i have changed so all is good hehe!!!

there is a weird knock when selecting a gear and pulling out the clutch like a glonk/glog sounds like i have movement somewhere maybe gear linkage or exhaust pipe?? i have yet to set her on ramps

also my drivers window (not electric) when winding up it comes of of place! like wonkey starts to tilt forward ? to the point i apply pressure on the window towards the back of the car (pushing direction) to keep it straight as i wind it up... i have took door card out and had a mooch wind up and down and all seems it tact ? but i noticed there is a manufacture hole in the window right at the back of it were it sits in the column again towards the back of the door is there meant to be a clip here as a guidence??

it is located as the window comes out of place top of the window at the back of it so the larger side not the small side by wind mirror

as usual all advice is appreciated and i respect everyone's views good or bad

Test lamba with diagnostic scanner. Same scanner should be able to delete any stored faults and switch off the engine management light that would of been triggered by the faulty coil pack.

Oil light, possible dodgy sensor (maybe another reason for your EML)

The knock could be anything from engine or gearbox mounts, suspension top mounts, ball joints....

Window, I think it's this you'll be wanting

I managed to get the OBD to USB cable for 5 quid, plugs directly on my laptop.

Definitely worth looking through ebay ^^^^
I've just ordered one from diagnostic world for £90! Only ordered from there as I've got a single plug ecu and kept reading that some scanners won't connect so I had contact with the company before buying. Hoping it turns up today even thought I've already found and fixed the problem that I wanted it for.

Lol tiger good investment for future anyway, and my laptop can act as a obd machine? Would't i need somekind of software or such?

I was hoping it would be but seems my cars a frankenstein, single plug ecu with a 16 pin obd socket, company assured me the scanner would work but seems to be having trouble communicating so waiting on a reply from the company now.

As for using a laptop, I'm not massively experienced on it but you will need the right software as well as the cable. Cables and scanners are easy to get hold of but the software is probably a bit more difficult to find but someone may already have links to sites to get it all
