VTS Battery, starting & immobiliser problem

  1. #1
Up until last night our trusty VTS hasn't missed a beat.
On route to work, the stereo kept fading in and out so turned it off.
Then lights on the dash went off then on, dials dropped to zero as if ignition was off, then back on. Power steering light kept coming on and going off.
Stopped and turned ignition off, then when i tried to crank it over lights on dash, went off, engine didn't even crank. Called AA battery is fooked, but even with a jumper pack on it won't start.
Engine cranks over fine with jumper pack but won't start, the immobiliser light on the dash is flashing away like crazy.
Tried the usual, lock the doors and open them with alarm key fob, still nothing. Have checked all fuses, nothing blown.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks in advance
