Which plastic material are the various black plastic parts used on a Saxo made of? I ask because I'd like to rejoin various things with a suitable adhesive. They aren't usually polycarbonate so what are they please?

#2If you mean exterior trims then use tigerseal.

#3Thanks stev07. What type of glue is is? I've tried epoxy and PVC adhesive and model aeroplane glue with very poor results so I'll try your one next. Cheers

#5EVOSTIK stixall - tigerseal hasn't got a patch on this stuff.
They do it in black/white/clear.
It's plenty strong enough to hold on door trims - i used it to secure my dimma spoiler in place last summer. It's very sticky but doesn't dry straight away, so practice a bit first as if you get any anywhere it's a bastard to get off.
I wouldn't use anything else to stick anything on. When it dries it still has a bit of flex so doesn't dry out and crack. Works underwater and everything - what more could you possibly ask from an adhesive?! -
#6stevo67 and smokeandpoke, much obliged. What's also broke is the glove compartment door's hinge. I thought I might get a couple of brass hinges and glue them to the door, then glue their other half to the openining. It looks as if I could still male the latch work by making sure the door sits high enough. A spacer under the hinges may be needed to do this. The original hinge was nothing more than a piece of black plastic that bends backwards and forwards as the door is opened. It was bound to fatigue and break eventually but proper hinges won't. They will be out of sight and they don't need to close fully when the door shuts. I used epoxy resin on the wiper blade's plastic shoe but I was a bit cack handed with it and I've glued the wiper blade as well. I may be able to release it by using a thin saw blade. Thanks again for your help, everyone.
