Electrical Probelms

    On my 03 saxo vtr,

    The indicators are playing up when turning right. When I turn it right it indicates fast and the fog lights notification comes on, on the dash however it still shows as normal on all bulbs.. So I tested by turning the lights on and fog lights and then when I indicate the fog lights begins to indicate on the back and the indicator doesn't at all, but the front is all normal.

    Check all earth terminals. on front of car for lights are not lose. Had this problem in past ended up being a lose terminal and was lighting up like a Christmas tree when it was lose. Also check connections on the back light that has the problem and not corroded up as sometimes leak in and cause this to rust up and causes it to short..

    If that does not solve it then could be more too it. Maybe change bulbs from working side and see if any difference to before changing parts or having to rip stuff apart.

    Check the relay and replace the stalk

    That's an earth fault in the rear light cluster. Remove it and all the bulbs, take a wire brush to it and remove lots of the white corrosion buildup.

    My RHS rear light cluster has eroded away so the back light does not work, works when i brake though. Looks like the plastic has cracked and let water in. should I replace with new rear light cluster. The top back lens looks grey rather than white/clear if this helps distinguish between models.
