brake wobble

My wheels are balanced and fine when driving normally. Last few weeks my steering wheel has been wobbling when braking hard. I fitted brembo discs and pads all round (vented on front) about 3 months ago. I haven't braked hard enough to get them hot hot i don't think.
Had the discs off today and wire brushed all the rusty crap out between the wheel and disc and disc and hub, put it back together. Cant see anything off when turning the discs by hand and looking at them against the pads - gna try and get hold of a guage.

Is there anything it could be if not warped discs?

    Thanks in advance

are your calipers properly tightened. also are your wheels nuts tightened. sounds stupid but ive made the mistake in the past, thinking it was something major but was a simple(stupid) problem.

also make sure your driveshaft nut is tight and check your wheel bearing isnt gone

Are you running standard wheels or aftermarkets ones?is there enough clearance behind the wheel so that it doesn't chaff the caliper? Are the correct wheel bolts being used?

Yeah, ive checked all this today, pulled everything off cleaned and checked and put it back on. They're aftermarket wheels but the fit right. Both driveshafts changed months ago and have been fine. Wheel bearings have been changed too. Checked balljoints, droplinks, trackrod ends all seem sound. If i get hold of a gauge ill check the discs but probs needs to be sorted soon reckon its not good for the rest of the steering and stuff

It'll just be a warped disc, you've probably got them warm then sat at some traffic lights with your foot on the brake rather than the handbrake, this is how discs get warped for us non-race drivers

That would be either the pads were not bedded in correctly or you got them hot that pad material stuck to the disc..Discs hardly ever warp.

You reckon its the front if I can feel it through the steering wheel? A few weeks ago my rear left brake was sticking on and i had smoke coming off it when I looked and then the car sat there till it cooled off.

Vibration through the steering would normally be the front so I'd start there. Have you sorted that rear caliper though??

Ok. Ill buy some off you in next few days just not got round to it yet. You reckon bed them in as you said on the phone? Seem to get a different answer from each person i ask

And yes I changed the calipers and cariers on the back I had spares. The pistons were full of crap.

you need to go through a few heat cycles with the pads. Get the car up to 30-40mph then firmly press the brakes but not come to a stop, let them cool then build up speed again and repeat. It only needs to be done a few times before you drive normally and I'd give it a bit of time before you push the car to high speeds and do heavy braking.

Am I ok the do this with the pads I am currently using? I bought pads and discs together so only had them a few months.
