Put my car in garage this morning to replace abs sensor but the bloke is telling me the ecu isn't reading the near side front and back and the offside both wheels are fine. Anyone had a simular problem on a vts, he reckons s I might need a new ecu? Think it's time to get rid now it's one thing after another with these saxo vts.

#2Do you get a resistance from the sensors? A garage told me it was likely to be the ecu on my xantia, 2 new sensors sorted it. Not sure if the pinout is the same for the saxo, best bet is get under and unplug them then use a multimeter across the sensors plugs measuring the resistance (ohms). Do the same on the working ones. If they both read similar/the same then it'll be the ECU. If you get a weird or no reading from the dead side then replace the sensorsQuote:Put my car in garage this morning to replace abs sensor but the bloke is telling me the ecu isn't reading the near side front and back and the offside both wheels are fine. Does the abs self test? I know on the Xant it flickers when you turn on the ignition before going out. -
#3Can't see how it would be the ecu as the Mil not on and no codes.I'm now thinking cos there's no reading on the near side both sensors are knackered

#4No the abs ecu. The earlier cit ones were vulnerable to shitting themselves. Check the resistance at the wheel sensors first

#5Ive had same problem, turned out to be worn out Abs sensor mate...
