Rear end feels slow

  1. #1
Hello, i have bought a 1.6 mk2 cup recently and when i am on a straight road and turn left and right, the rear end feels slow, like its not really holding, reminds me of when the rear wheel of the bicycle isn't well mounted and it woobles around, i fear it might be the rear axle going out.
On the corners feels normal even if i take to the limit of the tires.

How can i be sure of this? or is this normal for this type of car?

    Thanks

I'm guessing it could be the back axel. See if there is any play with it. Try shaking the wheels and see if there is much movement.

    Check the shocks as well.

The car is lowered, not sure by how much, i gotta jack it up and check each wheel is that what you are saying?

I researched on that, i seem i need to check for oil near the shock to see if the seals are still intact, right?

Yep or take the shocks off, clean them up then compress them you'll soon see oil leaking if there is a problem.

Standing at the back of the car looking at the rear wheels, do they look like this - / \

If so, it's new axle time.

I recently went to a alignment center, (which didn't fixed 100% the steering..) and the values of chamber are:

    rear left whee
    -1º28'
    rear right wheel
    -1º14
