    Your immobiliser is the problem.

You'll need to get the ECU unlocked or swap the ECU Immobiliser etc etc.

How did you get on with this?

my mate was driving home in his 2003 VTS and it cut out on him, immobiliser light came on and hasn't started since, I have changed the pickup ring, left battery disconnected for 24 hours and still nothing.

He said when it happened that the speedo and oil bars shot up and then down.

I have been searching around online and loads of people have had the immobiliser issues, people have even put in unlocked ECU's but the immobiliser light still flashing.

I can't hear the petrol pump initiate either.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Putting an unlocked Ecu in without removing the immobiliser box will cause you problems still

If your imo light is flashing try to check the connection on the starter because i had this problem and its a common one on saxo.

I have just been up to the car and wiggled all the cables in the engine bay and now immobiliser light has gone of and the petrol pump is powering but not starting , any ideas ?
Tried pressing the red cut of switch under bonnet but still not starting ,

    Cheers

Problem appears to be with the cables / connectors going into the ECU.
If I press down on the wires the immobiliser light turns off and petrol pump primes. but still doesn't start

I think I will try replacing this and see if that cures the issues.

Any ideas where I can get one from?

    Cheers

Finally got the car brought to me today, after swapping out the multifunction fuel pump relay the problem was still the same.

Followed all the cables in the engine bay to find that the 12v supply from the starter moter had snapped off.

Touched the cable onto the point where it should be and the car fired up straight away.

Off to get crimps to repair
