   is this for the battery light as it's broke off and the connector as broke.

   Correct, it'll not be charging properly.

   So does this charge the battery? Would it cause a problem if I just left it off as I'm not sure where to get a new 2 pin plug from.

   From what I remember that plug only turns on or off the battery light,the charging it's not affected,easy to find out by yourself anyway,plug in a voltmeter in the cigarette lighter and start the car otherwise Halfords offers a free battery check.

   A wire that thin would melt if it were carrying charging current. Otherwise the wires to the battery terminals would be thin!

   All it does is serve the warning light on the dash.
   
   I Might have a spare connector in my spares box if you can send me a pic of the full connector

   Thanks bud but got a couple from the scrappy yesterday just need to source the heat shield for the manifold now hard to get for the vts and Citroen told me no more parts are being made for the saxo
