bought some morettes... advise on bulbs

I bought some morettes last night with the intention of fitting an air feed through one hole. The bulbs are h7 at the moment, so the headlight/ sidelight are in the centre I think. High beams are on the outside lamps (i think). Does a h4 bulb as its twin filament do side main and hi beam? If thats the case can i solder the high beam wires to the same wires as the main beam wires on a h4 bulb? If not what can I do to sort them out? Cheers

H4's do dipped and main beam.
Side lights are the little 501 bulbs, the same as the boot and interior light.
Is there no way you could bodge an H4 to fit? Though it would probably mess with beam angle. If you're intending on using hole for an intake, if you split the beams you'll only have one dipped beam and be driving round with full's on all the time?

Do they not do h4 morette's?

You could just as easily made a feed from the grille, there's a gap between the slam panel and the rad, MUCH more discreet and potentially a larger scoop surface area but whatever floats your boat.

I've taken them apart, and had a look, in the middle lense a small bulb which looks like an led and a halogen bulb for the dip beam. In the outside lense is a h7 bulb for the main beam. Sorry bout my last post I didnt understand the lights lingo. I want to put the intake in the light as I like the look too and tidy up under the bonnet with an enclosed induction kit. I'm guessing if I can fit h4 bulbs I can loose a the passenger side sidelight for the intake. Does this sound about right?

you can't lose a sidelight, its required by law.

So how do folk manage to fit an intake through the light? Dont think the law would take kindly to my car anyway..

Made a loom tonight for one of the lights as theyre h7 morettes and the car is h4. The sidelight and dip work until i try to turn on main beam then everything goes out. Anyone know what this could be and how I fix it? Been looking at the wires and my head is mush. Ta

the car is set so that the main and dipped don't come on together. have you got it all earthed correctly? sidelights shouldnt be affected as they run on their own connector

Sorted it, I had it muddled up in my head how each lense worked so I had the dip power wire to the main and vice versa. switched them over and now the work as they should. Thanks anyway. get the covers off to mr sprayer man tonight.
Whats peoples opinions, posi blue so they match the cars colour, or matte black?
