Several questions

1. SaxoCup16v L-plater Joined: Jul 2015 Posts: 76

   1º I asked how much for switching the clutch on my citroen saxo 1.6 mk2 how much do you think it is?
   
   2º Also, i have some wobble on 1st, 3rd and 5th gear, scratches the 3rd sometimes(depends, but more likely to happen if the engine is rotating at 4k> (steep hills where i live)), what should i do?
   
   3º Steering makes a whining noise when stationary, does less when turning what is it?
   4º When i downshift, sometimes, the exhaust makes some weird noises, not sure how to explain, what might be?

   1 clutch kit is cheap enough (£70 thereabouts), depends on labour
   
   2 that's your clutch
   
   3 power steering, normal but check the fluid level
   
   4 back pressure noise depending which exhaust, or you have a leak

   I don't understand how can the gear wobbling, and 3rd scratching problem is the clutch fault?
   
   3 fluid level is normal, its quite an big whining noise, you can almost hear it inside the car
   
   4 the noise comes almost from the engine

   gear wobbling would be a broken/missing pin on the gear linkages.
   
   3. every saxo/106 I've driven did make that whining noise.
   
   4 check your manifold/cat converter for leaks

   The gear wobbling i guess i just got to fix...
   
   3. Am glad its "normal" for this car, so i can keep driving without worrying i guess
   
   4 I may leave like it is now, it doesn't make louds noises at all, just that ratata sometimes when i downshift and even that isn't loud

   Am looking for a clutch kit, although am looking at portuguese websites i don't know which make, or version i should get:

   valeo and bolk have two versions of the clutch for the same car, mine's a 2001 mk2
