saxo spark plugs

  1. #1
I am looking for the bestest model of spark plugs for the saxo 1.1 2000.

I hear halfords sell some good models but which is the highest rated?
  2. #2
Just the normal ngk ones will be fine. I'd go to elsewhere rather than Halfords though

    Ngk are top brand?

I'll have a look online for some, any model to look for?

Go to euro car parts for the plugs, either ngk or bosch will be fine.

Well you don't really need any top brand ones for a 1.1, if you go to your local motorworld/autosave type place and ask for spark plugs for a saxo 1.1 (or give them your reg), you'll get given the normal ngk ones. Should be around a tenner for the set.

I am looking for top brand due to preformance. I have money for it so if you have a name for the best brand I am willing to spend!

If you have money save it for a VTS. The 1.1 is a great car from A to B but don't ask performance from it.

In reply to your question,I would use NKG as well, always used these and have no reason to change.

Nkg are standard though in a 1.1 so nothing changes right?

Yep, but nothing would change even if you bought the best spark plugs.

even if you fit bosch iridium twins there would be no noticeable difference. the NGK ones are best, never had any issues with either of mine

Had Champion, replaced them with Bosch at the service interval. Haven't seen any problems with both of them, though haven't seen any improvements either. NGK should also be fine, but I guess maybe could be a bit more expensive.
