Battery relocation kits

  1. #1
Hi guys need to put my battery behind the passenger seat to free up some space in the bay for another fuel filter and a fuel swirl pot.

Just wondered exactly what's needed ie cable type / power etc and where can this be purchased from.

Been searching but most searches just bring up swampys kits but I believe he is banned on here.

    Thanks

    Right,you need:

2 x 16mm2 for the 2 fuse boxes, iirc these are 300mm and 600mm for the bigger fuse box to the right
1 X 25mm2 for main feed from battery
1 X 25mm2 negative for earth gearbox to chassis
These above all need to be clamped to a ring terminal so they can be connected to the junction box
Would be nice to put a fuse for main feed,I used a 100a one
    3 way junction box
You can re use the original starter motor cable and clamp a ring terminal
1 X 25mm2 for battery earth as short as possible

Check jjc race and rally, that's where I bought most of the stuff,I bought all the main battery cables from eBay member,he's name was keijcat or something,I need to have a look at the purchase history and let you know.

I have updated my post above,I am on mobile and it's not very easy to type everything,no worries.

I also have lots of pics if necessary,I have used this method on my Vts and never had a problem in a year.
