Calipers bolts - which ones?

  1. #1
I'm having a hard time finding appropriate bolts to fit the 406 calipers,I don't want to re use the standard ones as they are pretty rusted.

I would need high tensile M12 x 1.50 pitch 30mm long, fact is they usually sell stainless steel ones but I've read to avoid them as they are weaker or steel zinc plated but not high tensile, these who were high tensile I've asked the seller but they don't recommend to use them for the brake system.

The only bolts I found suitable so far are ARP black oxide bolts but they are 18£ for a set of 5,might invest in these if I don't find anything else, any suggestions? Thanks.

I used to use black oxide on my bike, a few more quid (as you know) but worth it.

I'm not too sure about these as they "only" have a 8.8 grade, did you find these to be good against corrosion? 106 Parts sells the standard caliper bolts on ebay so I might go with those, even if 14£ for 4 bolts isn't that cheap either.

Yeah they were ok, they were better than standard bolt. Was my main reason for getting them as they were on show
