Important! : Fan problems!!!

Hi saxo 1.1 2001 model, fan comes on constantly! When I'm driving and when I turn ignition off even if I've not been driving for long, I've just had all my water system completely flushed through, brand new pump and brand new thermostat fitted and nothing's changed could it possibly be a sensor?

    has it been bled correctly?

is the fan switch in the radiator or at the thermostat housing?

plug in a diagnostics reader on the car before trying to replace parts, fault code for a temp sensor is P0110.

as above double check and bleed for air locks, most likely that...

I know its not the same but i have a VTR iv had for a month now and my fan kicks in alot when not moving i was sitting in a drive through yesterday for 5minutes and it kicked in twice, it makes me think water isnt getting into the engine but the heater is warm and water in the rad so i read on here this is just how they are, my fan kicks in when gauge goes just over half way then brings it down to dead on halfway and stops so it does work im just baffled as to why it wont cool itself when stationery seems the only thing cooling it is the air flow when driving? Anyone with a vtr got the same issue?

you answered your own question. Just think about the science behind a fan that creates wind when stationary and you will understand how radiators' design help coolant to cool down.

Air is being forced into the engine when you're driving(forced induction)When your staionery the fan does the job of cooling the engine down.
