Cooling problems

   Okay so back with another problem lol,
   
   Last night while driving along an a road my temperature light came on so I pulled over to see puddles of water coming from under my car.
   
   So I let it cool down and filled radiator back up with water. Drove it abit further the light didn't come on and nor did the radiator leak when I pulled Over again however my temperature was higher than normal.so what could this be? How can I test it? I''very bought a new thermostat to fit it but not done so yet.

   i would swop the new thermostat over a refill with antifreeze etc as we are near winter now too and fully bleed all air out of the sytem and check the cooling fans are kicking in to when up to temperture.

   Sometimes if you put too much water in the rad filler tube it leaks,this is because you have to allow room for expansion.Other causes are an air lock or a faulty rad cap.

   Sorted thermostat replaced and fan still kicks in and hasn't gone above half. Cheers guys.
