Has someone tampered with my car?

    Getting into my Saxo this morning before college, I noticed the key was alot harder to pull out. Looked down and the driverside door lock looks like it's been rammed with a screwdriver or something! I will attach some pictures

    I mentioned it to mum and she said she heard voices outside at around 6am. Could it just be a coincidence and the lock has worn down or has someone tried getting in?

    I live in a low crime area, can't think of many cars being stolen locally

    If they have, they've not made a very good job of it.

    Hard to tell just from those pics and without knowing what it looked like before, and i'm no expert - but i'd normally expect to see more damage than that personally.

    Someone might have had a jab, like they have done with most saxos!

    Maybe invest in a security camera or car alarm if you don't already.

    Yeah it could just be a coincidence, as the key isnt in the best of shape so might just be down to general wear. TBH, i cant see a reason for stealing this as its a 14 year old 1.1L car with nothing inside! Plus living on an island means the plate would flag up at the two ferry ports so you cant get away with it!

    I may be looking at some more security now

    It could have already been there and the lock is just getting stiffer. Spray some WD40 into the keyhole before winter.
