what is a fuel pressure regulator?

    a fuel pressure regulator regulates fuel back to the fuel tank once it hits a set pressure, so e.g when the fuel rail pressure hits say 4bar it then regulates and sends the fuel back to the tank. standard regulators are not adjustable but if you get a fse fuel pressure regulator u can get a guage to see what its runnign at and adjust to the pressure you want, advantages of higher pressure is slightly faster throttle response and if your running hi spec and bigger injectors etc.. its needed
