Citroen Service diagrams..

W.r.t. Citroen Service parts lists, how are bolt/screw numbers meant to be read? For example, one of the bolts info reads "8x125-25". Im assuming its an M8x1.25, 25mm long?

Reason I ask is I was looking up the screw specs for the lower alternator bracket for a VTR, qnd 25mm sounds too short.

    8x125 - 25

That should be M8 bolt 125mm long, but the 25 im not sure the only other measurement should be the thread pattern but metric bolts should all have the same thread style..

the Thread style changes when using other types of bolt like Imperial, UNF etc.

Link the page ill have a look?

I think the OP is correct I read it as M8x1.25 pitch 25mm long but as said a link to diagrams would be good, if only for future reference.

measuring one i have as a reference thats listed as DIAM6x100-60, the diameter of the THREADED part of the bolt is 6mm, the 100 could only be the thread as the threads are 1mm apart, and the threaded part of the bolt is 60mm long

however theres another one to hand thats listed as 6,3-38. the screw is 38mm long and 6mm diameter, however i have no idea what the 3 references as the pitch is 1.5mm!

edit: are you looking at the right bolt. the one highlighted is the fixing bolt, number 70 seems to be holding some other parts onto the alternator mounting. i've doodled the line over for bolt number 4
