Fitting fuel filter strap

  1. #1
changed my fuel filter few days back and didn't have a strap that holds the fuel filter into place, not even a tie rap holding it, so purchased the strap of eBay.

Only took 2mins to change the filter but getting the strap to clip on is very awkward.
One clips into the tank but the other end appears to go up past the brake lines but can't see the hole for the clip.
Been looking at the guide/sticky on here but just wondered if anyone had any easy ideas?

    Thanks

Tbh mate most people just cable tie it.

I tried for a while but in the end I gave up and just used thick cable ties,I would be interested to know where exactly is the fixing point as it's somewhere in a really narrow and awkward spot upwards.

Cheers lads may just cable tie it then saves wasting a lot of time trying to clip something on that can't be seen lol.

Peugeot/citroen say they can do it without dropping the tank out to put the strap around it. I couldn't be arsed myself and cable tied it to the brake pipes.

Can you remember if the hidden hole is on the fuel tank same as the one that can be seen?
