How can I tell if my ECU is locked?
here's the story -
VTS engine in shell one (not originally from that shell) installed and started on original wiring loom, ECU etc.
Car re-shelled due to rot, ended up replacing the full loom due to being to keen with the wire snippers, but so far as I remember I swapped the pick up ring and immobiliser with the ECU.
Went to start the car today, and nothing after stage one ignition, found this to be a dodgy wire on the ignition which is now fixed. Fuel pump primes, but when turning the key to start I get nothing, absolutely nothing. Fuel pump still primes as it should. Key symbol comes on and goes off with ignition which makes me think the ECU ISN'T locked(?)
Changed coil pack, crank sensor and fuel pump relay, checked all fuses, sensor plugs, earths, still nothing.
So, what does everybody think? Locked ECU? if so, can I use my predator (bought for when I fit my bodies) to try and get it started? Fuel level is low, but this shouldn't make any difference should it?
Running out of ideas
