BTB exhausts

  1. #1
Why are they so dam expensive, and are they that good
  2. #2
yes they are that damm good
  3. #3
But why? Are they the best out for VTR's?
  4. #4
there not so great for standeard vtrs
    turboed or supercharged ones yes
  5. #5
No. Your VTR is far too week for a BTB, the bore on the BTB is slighlty increased all the way down making them ideal for big power stuff, especially forced induction. Mine is probably wasted on my cam'd VTS. Oh well

So stick with the Ashleys, Magnex, Scorpians?

btb is more for boosted engines where increased back pressure becomes an issue and causes power to either tail off or be lost altogether with a standard exhaust or an aftermarket one where the bore is too small and limits exhaust gas flow. on an n/a vts you'll probably lose some torque low down but gain a bit top end so it's swings and roundabouts. as it says on the gmc site, if you plan to boost your vtr/s in the long run then just buy a btb first as you'll save money and the hassle of swapping exhausts.

I had an ashley. Shit quality, hateful at low revs but at 7 grand it sounded awesome, made good power too

I quite like it cause its popping n banging, I purely bought it cause it said for off road use only so i thought it must have some sort of edge
