Unable to start VTS

Bit of background, bought the VTS as a track car with the son, started & ran fine, lowered it, fitted buckets, stripped it out etc. Took it to Cadwell on about the 12th lap the alternator drive belt decided to shred itself as I went down Park Straight at around 95mph, later found out that it had jammed up the cambelt & bent all 16 valves, when we were back in the pits as we were just trying to work out what happened we had both spark & fuel as it was tested.

Roll on about 5 weeks, car has been stood outside with no battery, in the meantime I bought a JP4 engine from a C2 VTS swapped all the parts over & drilled the head. Fitted it back into the Saxo last weekend & tried to start it, the immobiliser key with a box around was continuously flashing, we had no spark & no fuel pump running. So we just figured that immobiliser had thrown a hissy fit & couldn't see the key.

Sent the ECU off to somebody off ebay who unlocks them & removes the immobiliser pin, it arrived back yesterday, put it in the car today & exactly the same, no fuel, no spark. Took the ECU over to the sons mate who also has a VTS, put the ECU in & the car runs, it does have a misfire, but it already had that on his own ECU.

We have pushed the big red button behind the battery & there was no click, where's the next obvious place to start looking, we believe we've connected everything back up, the only thing not connected is the unit that was in the passenger inner wing, that has been removed as there are no pipes coming out of the JP4 that would connect to it.

No idea if it's of relevance, but when connecting the battery up with the doors closed the indicators flash, then when opening the door the alarm goes off, to silence it you have to disconnect the battery, to be able to connect without the alarm going off you have to switch the ignition on, then reconnect the battery.

    Do not have working fobs.

OKay so having had a day away from the car I set about having another look & found a wire not connected, probably the main feed to the ECU it should have been connected to the starter motor permanent live terminal, put that on, we now have a running engine, sounded a bit rough possibly missing, but it was straight out of the manifold so it was a bit difficult to tell, but a happy bunny, still would like to know if there are any good wiring diagrams for a 2003 model anywhere, is there a Haynes?
