Are standard mirrors same as vt?

   I need to buy a new mirror because the cables have stretched and pulled themselves out of the adjuster and it looks to be too much faffing about to reseat them into the balljoint.
   Seen some cheapo one's on ebay just standard black, obviously I want my mirror caps on them.... is there a slot for the colour coded caps to go into or are they the same as el standardo .... obviously I can stick them on but was worried about the caps sticking out further than normal.

   Some basic are black and you can't put the cap on. Other 1.1 are same as the VTR, S are electric

   thanks for that looks like I'm after a VT or Desire colour coded jobbie then to put my caps on.

   on a sidenote..... are 106 mirrors sprung loaded? bit tempted to get some instead if the price is right and colour.

   On my saxo there's no hole for the mirror caps,so I cut the tabs off the caps.Then used superglue gel to stick them to the mirrors,been fine for 8yrs.

   Get yourself down to your local breakers yard / scrappy. You'll probably have your pick of mirrors - they aren't in short supply
