Some kind of gearstick problem

   So I bought a VTR, quite cheap, needs a couple bits sorting...
   
   One of the things being that the gear stick can move up and down. I'm guessing there's some sort of bolt or clip missing, just wondering if anyone knows what I'm looking for?

   Check the linkages under the car.

   They are rods yes,with a ball and socket connection.

   Fixed! Was an issue with some bits on the quickshift

   Loose grubscrews on the ball? They're forever giving issues.
