thanks guys, still not working, can hear the fuel pump working though when i turn the ignition on but it sounds like it wants to turn on but then just keeps ticking over. Sounds like the immobilers stuck on or something

    any ideas anyone?

i think it has an aftermarket "Toad" immobilser and alarm fitted

There will be a wire going from the alarm to the coilpack usually, at least there is on mine. that may have broken perhaps?

Had an auto electrician out he got it started by spraying some fuel into the manifold, and he says the fuel pump is firing up so could it possible be a blocked line or a damaged fuel filter? I'll disconnect one of the pipes on the pump and crank the car and see if fuel squirts out to check for a blocked line

doubt you'll have a blocked line, if it was running before hand.

if it starts with easy start you no it's fuel issue, or immobiliser kicking in?

id disconnect fuel line at the bulk head, put ignition on see if fuel comes up. if not it's either pump or immobiliser.

i wasnt there at the time i was at work but my dad was there, he said he checked all electrical connections, he was testing the fuel pump with a multimeter while my dad cranked the car and it was working so immobiliser didnt cut it out? just the fuel isnt making it all the way through, he got it started with easy start.

the engine management is also on since i hit the curb
