Water in passenger footwell

    Just changed the lower control arms on my Saxo and when I lifted up the passenger it was very damp and wet.
    There seemed to be a gluey type substance mixed in with the water though i'm guessing this may be from the underlay.
    The top of the carpet is dry and there are no holes in the floor.
    Any ideas where the water is coming from?

    Check first behind the dash ,and look at the heater matrix and see if it or the pipes are leaking mate.

    sunroof is another suspect.

    Believe it or not, but water can get past the window seal, drop down inside the door, land on the speaker cone, drip out through the grille and down between the carpet and the metalwork.

    Water can leak in around the accelerator pedal

    Windscreen seal

    Sunroof

    Roof aerial (down the A pillar and behind the dash)

    cheers guys, car has MOT tomorrow so will see if it passes first.
    If not i'll burn it, it will solve the water problem at least.
