Fuelrail return line?

  1. #1
    Hi I've fitted a 1.6 8v to my AX

The Ax originally had a 1.4 with a feed and a return fuel line.

My new 1.6 only has a feed line.

Would it be sufficient to just plug the return line?

Is the ftr on these non-return line engines somewhere back at the tank?

Yes you can just plug the return line. Doing that alone won't be enough.

The fuel pressure regulator is on the fuel tank on those models. Your AX won't have that.

The easiest way would be to get a fuel rail from a 1.6 8v that has a return line on it and an fpr on the rail.

youll find a tee piece with a regulator holder next to the fuel filter by the tank on late phase1 xsara's with tu engines, fit this to the feed side of the rail, connecting the takeoff from the reg to the return pipe

    Exactly which models have this?

    That is a good question!

I would be fairly confident saying pre 1999 models should all have it.
