knocking on front left passenger wheel?

    Evening all,if anyone can help or advise Ive got a 51 plate saxo vtr I went over a few speed bumps earlier not fast but probably faster than I should have and since I've now got a continously tapping from front passenger side wheel that gets louder the faster you go I noticed a bit of the skirting trim was loose a couple of the plugs have come loose I think so I've temporarily zip tied them and the tapping noise is still continuous definitely mechanical any ideas what it could be as I need to order part I've just had clutch done over xmas 450 quid so need to keep the cost down many thanks in advance☺

    one thread's enough, and a tapping noise could be a number of things. Jumping speed bumps, you probably killed your shock absobers.

    :edit: also had a tapping noise appearing once, because the skirts came loose after the clips broke.

    Most common problem for speed bumps is anti roll bar links often go on them have to change mine at least every 8 months due to amount of crap roads where I live. Simple fix if got right tools for it and I'd check them first before looking at other parts. Also could be cv joints, inner or outer depending on the type of nocking.

    Drop links, top mount bearings, ball joints, Spring, cv joints all all suspect. Jack the car up and have a pry about with a bar and look for play.
