Stereo wiring problems!

Hi there new to the site and just looking for some help. Went to fit my stereo today to my 2001 vtr and the cables coming from the car which on my last one had a black and a white set of blocks which the ones from my stereo fitted into. Now on my current car it only has a black block which doesn't fit into the stereo or the blocks coming from the stereo and I'm guessing there might be a piece which I plug into that with the white and black blocks the other end to plug into the ones coming from the stereo. If anyone can understand my poor explanation and help me out with the part I need that would be great! Not very mechanically minded so sorry for the poor explanation

If I'm getting you right, you're looking for an iso adapter. Just check what is the make and model of your stereo and you can get it off of eBay for a few quid.
