Engine problem

    Hello,
I have a question if you can help me , I saw the other day on completing plug oil, water and a kind of yellow liquid from can be ? noted that it is in Romania , and here's winter temperatures are -17 degrees and night.

    thank you

    It's gotta be custard
Quite hard to understand the question, if you mean there a creamy looking substance under the oil filler cap, check your coolant levels over a few days to see if you have a drop in level, if there is but you have no visible leaks while the car is pressurised then chances are the head gasket is gone!
But, as you say it's cold, chances are it's just condensation.
Also check you're oil breathers to see if they're all connected or broken, common problem I've noticed that the breathers are broken, 8v usually on top of the rockers, 16v in the spark plug/ht covers. Undo the star bolts to gain access!

    car is totally std ?
    no after market air filters?
no after market breathers on valve cover ?
If std system has been altered it is quite possible that when you stop engine at night -- then as you will have no one way valve on brether =that it will suck in cold damp air as engine cools --causing condensation .
or maybe engin is not getting hot enough when running -- change thermostat

start car up --cooling fan should come on with 10mins with car at idle --if not thermostat is not working correctly
what ever the reason --just change oil more frequently.
the other bovious reason is head gasket is starting to leak and allowing water into oil

"oil is the cheapest set of spannners"

Maybe you can enlighten me something if you please? I want to remove the two thin pipes circled in red , what happens if I remove them ? and what is their role ?

    thank you.

Not 100% on that but the thin pipes look like some sort of breather/vac/pressure lines, maybe to do with emissions and the big one looks like it's measuring exhaust pressure at the maf but don't quote me on that as I maybe talking through my bum as I've never had any of them pipes on my pugs and saxos, sorry I can't help other than a guess.

Just pull them off and put them back on the way you they came off when you've done what you need and it'll be ok though

They control the warm air intake which stops ice forming in the throttle/injector body.

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR IN COLD CLIMATE WITHOUT THEM ON AND WORKING!

A throttle frozen open is not funny.

wayne is correct it is a self actuating warm air mix device --not sure swansea would class as cold enough to give throttle icing though .think it would need to be very extreme conditions in uk to get throttle iing on an injection car --certainly was much more likly on carb car as the evaporation of fuel in venturi casues a drop in temp as well ,but i supose if its a mono point injection system it could happen the same
very damp and temp around zero are the conditions for it to happen
    cold and dry no problem
