Glueing coil pack

  1. #1
The fixings for the screws on my coil pack have broken off (not by me) so the screws just spin and the coil pack won't tighten down, occasionally causing lumpy driving and eml. So can any one reccomend and good heat resistant adhesive to stick the fixings down to secure the coil pack? (Not for a Saxo)
At the moment I'm using cable ties to hold the coil pack nice and tight but they do break over time from heat etc... Any ideas ?

You can get metal tie wraps for exhaust wrapping, could you use them?

ive had trouble with metal tie wraps, i never seem able to get them tight enough for what i want, but i never thought of that, maybe some sort of adheasive to glue the fixings and the metal tie wraps just incase...

is it the screws/bolts that are fucked, or the rocker cover? if its the screws/bolts get some new ones, if its the rocker cover, get a new one, they can be got for about £20 at most scrap yards

Not around a coil pack, think about the implications of a stray spark.

would personally just get a replacement part and fix it properly, any glue etc will most likely work its way loose in a warm engine bay

The fixings that the bolts go into have broken. You're rite a new rocker cover isn't expensive, i just wasn't sure a new rocker cover would solve the problem but bu the sounds of it, it will tywraps in the mean time
