Turbo-ing my VTS, where to get a down pipe?

  1. #1
Hey guys I'm still new to the forum.

I'm working on Turbo-ing my Vts.

    I've just bought myself a Garrett GT22 Turbo, from a Mercedes E270CDI for £140.
I've also found a seller on eBay that makes manifolds (SAS AUTO CUSTOMS) that will happily make a flange to fit.

I just wanted to ask, where could I get a Down Pipe?

I'm putting together the kit myself then getting it all fitted, going to be expensive. But it'll be worth it in the long run

Having a quick look I think you have inadvertently got a diesel only turbo. Diesel engines exhaust gasses are cooler and less corrosive than that in a petrol engine. It allows them to make diesel specific turbos a fair bit cheaper. However it generally makes then unsuitable for petrol engines. I would double check with Garrett but I pretty sure you have diesel only there and being vnt these are especially fragile so it looks like a none starter unfortunately.
