squeaking noise

Hi, there is a squeaking noise when turning and a kind of Morse code sound as well. I think the power steering whine is slightly higher, but the steering feels normal, any help would be appreciated.

    Check your battery and connections.

Mine has been doing this recently - apparently it was the alternator belt. It's in the garage today getting fixed.

Hope they charge you fairly for such an easy job that could have been done by yourself for 10£

Checked connections and changed the alternator belt, now it sounds like a table being dragged across the floor when I lift off the gas.

Alternator on its way out possibly? Sounds like the bearings are failing.

When you changed the alternator belt did you check the condition of the alternator pulley and tensioner and the crankshaft pulley?

How much slack does the belt have on the longest run?

The guy charged me £30 - I read that I could do it myself easily, but I'm not really a hands on type of guy. I'm scared I would screw something up!
