hi guys i was just wondering if this can be done as i bought a pug 106 really cheap but it is p*** poor slow, my mate told me i could have all his vts parts and said its a really simple conversion to do.

so my question, is it really a straight forward swop or is there any nasty hidden suprizes thanks in advance

It's easy enough i'd recommend swapping over fuel tanks.Thing is though a vtr can be had for reasonable money these days.

thanks and yeah thats what i thought but the oppertunity to change my little xnd sounds too fun to pass up. Especially with summer coming up something to do

this will be my first ever engine conversion so nervous and excited about it but need to make sure i plan everything out. I know it doesnt always go to plan but as close to will do.

Use his vts and keep the xnd for parts

haha i would love to unfortuantly he stripped the shell and got rid i ripped the engine out of it today and the gear box but rounded one of the gearbox bolts so kinda slowed progress

    Haha the joys of mechanics
Get a good lump hammer and some cheap crap sockets for rounded nuts and bolts, makes life easier
Good luck, hopefully the swap will go easy enough for you from here on.
