Drainage pipe missing on sun roof...

    Hi Guys,

Over the past six months my car has been leaking water down the left hand side of the interior down the A pillar causing a puddle in the passenger footwell every time it rains!

As the wettest part of the roof lining has now started to get mouldy I decided enough is enough and yesterday removed all the interior screws and bolts required for me to pull the roof lining out, once I removed the roof lining I quickly saw the problem. There's no drain pipe on the left hand side obviously where the water has been streaming in. There's is no sign of the pipe, I even put a camera down where the pipe could be jammed or fallen down and couldn't see it.

Is it common for these pipes to disconnect themselves?

I'm going to have to buy some pipe and feed it down where the original should of been only problem is I can't see where the drainage pipe comes out so there's a chance it could cause a build up of water some where above my arch causing another leak

Or would you just feed to pipe down there and leave it knowing it's directed the water away from the cabin ?

Whenever there is a missing or faulty part leading to an obvious problem, I tend to purchase and fit that new part.

Sorry, I didn't check that, I assumed it would be available. Anyways have you tried blasting some compressed air in there?

    Or push a coathanger down.

Get a pipe from a breaker or just plate over the sunroof. The sunroof drains go down the inside of the a pillar and drain into the sill which then has its own drain hole

    Or gaffa tape the sunroof.

Plate over the sunroof, easiest and best option. Not many 106's and Saxos that don't leak.
