Important! : Gearbox Oil amount ??

   How much gearbox oil is needed to refill full. Just taken old driveshaft off fitted new in and oil is horrid. I have 1L available to me is it 1.5 or 2L that is required to be full anyone got exact ammount needed from manual thx

   depends which box -- fill it through the breather on top with level plug out --easiest way to get it right --either way you need to buy another litre
   
   if its horrible you wil be draining the rest of it ayway

   yeah drained all the old stuff out. How do you fill from the top exactly as I checked their and cant seem to see anything to fill from. Filled with 1L so far but no doubt lost quarter of it due to pissing out when trying fill with the pipe it come with but got some in it so far.

   Right on top Next to the reverse light switch you'll see a black cap on the breather just pull it off and fill up through there. Lovely and simple on these boxes, unlike some where you need loads of pipe to fill it up due to fillers mounted in silly places

   Cant see anything to fill this up. seeing on some of them and reading need to take battery off but some pictures its next to it down the side and I cant see shit down side or where you are advising it is. Guessing battery off and bracket and seeing where it is.

   Just take arch lining off and wheel off, take out filler bolt on passenger side of box just above the drain bolt and lower the car down level then fill up until oil comes out of the filler bolt hole, job done

    Thats that done and found the cap to fill from top fuking nightmare to get to but done now and found capacity is 2L Thx guys for help n supports

    VXR? Wrong forum I thinks, this is for Saxos.
    
    But you're looking for MTF, not engine oil, usually 2-3 litres will be plenty and you just fill it up via the fill plug until it runs out.
